Parlor Games
I have always played fair
Most times she don’t
I used to keep trying
This time I won’t
She loves to defeat me
I’m quitting on my own
She’ll call me a loser
I call me gone
Chorus:
These games she likes to play
Can be so confusing
I don’t understand the rules
But I know I’m losing
Though I am leaving now
I’ll never be the same
Cause I lost everything
Playing her parlor games
I know it won’t be long
‘Till she finds someone else
She never liked to play
All by herself
When she finds someone new
She’ll be so happy
She can play all those games
She played with me
Bridge:
In this game of life
There’s lots of jeopardy
When it comes to trouble
She’s got a monopoly
Chorus:
These games she likes to play
Can be so confusing
I don’t understand the rules
But I know I’m losing
Though I am leaving now
I’ll never be the same
Cause I lost everything
Playing her parlor games
