A compilation of stories about two wonderful friends of mine, who married each other many years and kids ago.

He met her at a party for some people
That he really didn’t know from Adam’s housecat
He asked her if she drank margaritas
She said yes sometimes…
Why do you ask

He said I like margaritas just fine
I take mine with salt and a lime

So they decided they would leave that party
They took his pickup over to his favorite bar
She asked if they served margaritas
He said I don’t know…
But we can ask

He said I like margaritas just fine
I take mine with salt and a lime

Well it turns out they served strong margaritas
They drank a few and talked about all sorts of stuff
Turns out they had a lot in common
By closing time he knew…
He was in love

He said I like margaritas just fine
I take mine with salt and a lime

After the bar closed he drove her back to her car
Where they ran right straight into a run of good luck
She couldn’t find her keys anywhere
The next day he found them…
On the hood of his truck

Bridge:
He taught her the Texas tequila shot
She taught him how to play 42
She said if you take me honky tonking
I just might fall in love with you

Well six or seven years have come and gone since then
They are married now and they have two lovely kids
They still like to drink margaritas
She says hiding those keys was…
The best thing she ever did

He said I like margaritas just fine
I take mine with salt and a lime
