I wrote this song after trying way too hard to convince a girl to cancel her trip around the world and go to Canada with me.

I was standing on the corner
When she blew into town like the wind
I knew the moment I saw her
I would never be the same again

I’ve spent a lifetime looking
For just one thing I could hold on to
But trying to hold on to her
Was just the desperate act of a fool
