This week’s song is Jack’s Blues, a hard rocker I co-wrote with Bob Clay. Here’s the MP3:

I had a good friend named Jack for a long time. We had a falling out and the beginnings of this song were written as I worked through the various emotions involved in losing a friend. I haven’t seen him in years, though he and I had some crazy times back in the day.

I selected this song because it is about as close to a hard rock song as anything in my catalog. Bob did a great job on the guitar tracks and vocals. He is a talented guy and I hope we can write some new ones before long.
